I offer a short-term solution oriented therapeutic approach to adults of all ages including couples. Services are offered in-person, and/or remotely. Whether this type of contact will best benefit you will be determined after a short needs assessment. If your needs would be better served by a professional within your community, I will do my best to help you with a referral.

I work with clients on a wide array of issues including:

How we interact with people has a direct impact on our well being and sense of connectedness in the world. Due to the technology boom, we are increasingly seeing a phenomena of detachment from interpersonal engagement. While we all love our gadgets and can’t live without them, how do we learn to balance and integrate them into our lives without sacrificing confidence in social/work situations, and closeness in our intimate and family relationships?

Transitions are a natural part of life. Whether you are transitioning from one life stage into another; for example, adolescence into young adulthood or moving from one city to another, beginning or ending a career or a relationship, transitions, internal and external can effect your mood, your relationships and your career. Sometimes smooth, sometimes turbulent, transitions can be transformative and cathartic. How do we think about and mitigate life transitions with intention, purpose and creativity?
There’s much being said today about the part stress hormones play in our daily lives. Constant stress and anxiety triggered by day to day living is associated with many chronic health problems. For many people, stress is so commonplace it has become a way of life. Stress isn’t always bad and in small doses can help you perform under pressure and motivate you to do your best. But when stress becomes a way of life, your mind and body will pay the price. You can take care of yourself by recognizing the signs and symptoms of stress and taking steps to reduce self-harm.
While we all appreciate validation, acknowledgment and attention from the outside world, how we feel and think about ourselves on the inside is an important part of our emotional and mental well being. How do we gauge our internal supplies and what can we do to enhance feelings of self worth? Learning to identify entrenched belief systems and nurture self-compassion are important self discovery tools to possess.
Fear, procrastination, entrenched and rigid thinking, poor self image, unrealistic expectations, catastrophic thinking are just a few of the obstacles that can get in the way of personal growth. How do we identify and work through obstacles? Using mindfulness practices, creating new belief systems and learning to think about things in new ways can help you to overcome obstacles and reach personal goals.
